The sun is bursting through my window this morning, blinding me with the reflection off my computer every time I shift my weight. The snow is sinking away after a light dusting last night. Everything is crisp and clear outside. Only one solitary person is visible as I get up to open my window. She's carrying groceries. The flush of cold air rids the room of stale beer and dirty volleyball smells. I hear a truck passing, first car of the morning. There's a slight pressure on my temples from the late night, but no time for that - I didn't earn it. Sticky's voice serenades my morning, filling it with even more light and love.
Have I told you how much I love it here?
Anyway, you can all stop worrying now. I know you're anxiously awaiting the results from last night's match. Truth be told, there's not much to tell as it wasn't much of a match. We beat Sater last night in embaressing fashion, 25-14, 25-13, 25-17. We committed way too many errors, but it matter. Chatsworth High's 2002 team could have beaten these guys by the way they played. These guys have one notch in the victory colum which, unfortunately, came from us - a match that will surely come back to haunt us in the playoff rankings. Rad.
Practice this afternoon, then we are all off to Orebro for the weekend. Tarik just got a new apartment and wants to have people over. He's such the warm, inviting host. Sunday night Jonas, our "coach," is having us all over for a super bowl party. Pre-game starts about 2am, so it will be an interesting Monday. He's got hotwings and coronas though, so I will NOT be missing out.
My staff in Sweden is already coming to a close more rapidly than anyone expected. We have just 4 regular season matches left before playoffs. That's just four weeks remaining of regular season. It looks like we'll be struggling to finish in the top four, meaning we'll be selected by a top team to play in the first round of playoffs. If that is the case it will be difficult to make it through the first round.
For anyone interested, paricularly in coming for a visit, playoffs begin Sunday, March 9th and then continue on the 12th and 15th. It's a best of 5 MATCHES series so if necessary we'll then play the 18th and the 20th. I suggest visiting that week of the 9th (Mom and Dad), if you're really thinking to come.
I'm going to get my day started over here. Another busy day in front of the computer.
Puss puss.

Thanks for the read. Sounds like you're loving it! I don't blame you. It's nice to have a little one who wakes up about 7am everyday - natural alarm clock. We have blue skies here but it is cold and there is frost/dew on the window pane. And Kacie is singing me songs this morning.
We better get our act together if we're coming! We'll give you a date soon I hope when to expect us. I'm hearing how you're feeling about having to close this chapter. Enjoy buddy and make each day count. Thanks for keeping in touch.
Ok, it looks to me like you are going to probably finish 5th (assuming you take care of business vs two patsies, and Tierp). If you can stick it to Falkenberg in the finale that could get you up a place or maybe two.
Last year's playoff matchups were messy since Valla (previous year's 3rd place) slipped to last. Nobody wanted to play them. In the previous two years it was 1v8 and 2v7.
So, Falkenberg will finish first and take on a patsie (both Habo and Örkelljunga are closer to them then you are, right?). You've played Hylte tough twice so they will be scared of you and take a patsie. That leaves either Sollentuna or Team Valla. You beat Sollentuna twice, so let's root for them to lose two or three of their last 5 games (tough matches since they play Hylte and Falkenberg). Then if Team Valla can spank Tierp in the last game of the regular season and get third, then maybe they take Tierp.
In short, my analysis shows you guys get Valla or Sollentuna and have a very good shot at second round. Therefore we will be there the week of March 17. How do you say "Go Bruins" in Swedish?
